Overview: Full inspection completed at completion stage with minor aesthetic problems encounters initially with many panes of glass needing replacing due to builder dust scratches. Upon inspection of the boiler which was compatible with natural gas did we flag that propane gas was being supplied into the apartment block so the two would not be compatible.
"As we were planning to move into our apartment it was critical this problem was raised at such an early stage. Having seen the amount of time and work to have the boiler substituted we’re over the moon HolaLife inspected our property – Highly recommended."

Overview: Inspection carried out prior to completion which seemed like a straight forward job initially – Until we checked the laid to falls on the huge rear terrace (32m.sq)! When the water flow test was carried out fluid was backing up to the property rather than towards the drainage point at the opposite end of the terrace.
A massive amount of work was involved to have the entire terrace re-laid correctly which was paid for by the developer.

Overview: Following a check of the property completed by themselves, many defects were becoming apparent as time wore on. HolaLife were bought on board just before the end of the three month snagging period to inspect the property thoroughly and submit a report to all relevant parties.

Main defect(s): Internal drainage, external render deterioration and discolouration.
Overview: Inevitably with all properties, once you’re moved in and putting it to good use problems can occur. In this case, with very little food waste being extracted into the kitchen sink the downstairs bathroom adjacent had substantial amounts of the waste food coming through the shower drainer.
The bathroom floor and substructure below had to be excavated to allow access to the pipe filters which were causing the problem.
"The day we were due to leave for England we experienced the problem and with one phone call to HolaLife we left it their hands. I never would have believed the whole bathroom floor had to be removed as the developer did a great job finishing it, I do wonder if it would have been the same story if not over seen by Darryl as part of the plus package?!"

Overview: Snagging inspection and remediation completed without problem. However, damp experienced in downstairs cupboard due to lack of ventilation.
‘This problem could have been a real pain but we signed up for the plus package which gave me a point of contact at HolaLife to have any on going problems resolved at an hourly rate – Perfect!’

Overview: Mains water turned on at start of inspection as usual and after approximately one hour substantial amounts of water encountered on kitchen floor. After hours of investigation a pierced water pipe from kitchen unit fixings discovered and remediated immediately by developer.
"I may have thought to turn the water on when checking my property but there’s no way I would have spent the time Richard did hence I never would have discovered the leak… and I probably wouldn’t have turned it off before I left either! Your work speaks for itself." |
